The most common hesitation before connecting a bank is simple: "does the landlord now see everything I spend money on?" No. Here is the exact, field-by-field answer — what is visible for free, what a purchase unlocks, and what is never shared with anyone.
A shared Maja profile is a summary of one payment stream: your rent. It is not a bank statement, not an account view, and not a credit report. A landlord sees whether rent was paid, in full, on time, over how many months — and nothing beyond that.
A landlord who wants more evidence before signing a long lease can unlock a longer window at their own cost — you are never charged. As a limited-time launch offer: six months €7.90 (normally €12.90), twelve months €12.90 (normally €19.90), twenty-four months €17.90 (normally €29.90).
Important: the purchase buys more history, not more detail. The extended view contains the same kind of monthly summary rows, plus a badge for each six-month period. No additional personal or financial fields appear at any price.
Landlords often ask for a PDF statement instead. It is a worse instrument for both sides. A PDF can be edited in minutes, so a careful landlord cannot fully rely on it; and it exposes far more of your private life than the decision requires, which is poor data-minimisation practice under GDPR.

A payment is flagged as late only when it arrives more than five days after your usual payment day, so weekends, bank holidays and slow interbank transfers do not count against you. When a month genuinely was late, the profile shows it with the number of days. Nothing is hidden or smoothed over — that honesty is exactly what makes the clean months believable.
